Relationship, weight loss, and pop culture podcast.
Chris and Dar found each other online at age 46. It was not love at first sight, but it was friendship that kept things moving forward. Now married, this channel provides a place for them to share their journey with their friends, family, and those who relate to their experiences. They talk about finding love later in life, weight loss, the desire to move abroad, as well as pop culture topics and anything else that's on their mind.

Thank you for tuning in. Have a great week!
Hiya! Welcome to From LA LA to Utah. I'm Dar, born and raised in Utah.
ChrisAnd I'm Chris, a proud Angelino, born in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. Raised on sunshine, freeways, and Dodgers.
DarSo we met online at 46. Yep, you heard that right. 46. Shout out to Plenty of Fish, right? So what started out as friendship has turned into something a whole lot more.
ChrisNow we're happily married, living in Utah, as you can see, and starting this channel together. We're gonna share the funny, sometimes cringy, but always real stories about love, life, and everything in between.
DarSo what's our channel From LA LA to Utah all about? So it's part relationship talk, part pop culture analysis, part "married couple chatting at the end of the day " vibe.
ChrisWe're talking about finding love later in life. The ups and downs of blending lives and how we navigate it all with humor and wait, what did you say? Looks here. ... usually a lot of coffee?!
DarWell, iced coffee for me. I don't do coffee. No, you don't. PG Tips.
ChrisYeah, more British tea.
DarEnglish breakfast.
ChrisUm, some toast.
DarYes.
ChrisSome eggs. 'Cause I'm all on a protein kick right now.
DarYeah, we gotta get that protein in there, right? So why are we doing this? We want to create a safe space where we can share our experiences, explore what we're thinking, and hopefully build a community of like-minded individuals because our intention is to uplift those that tune in and also have honest conversations because there's a lot to process nowadays.
ChrisYeah, it's just we we wanted a space right here to share our story and invite those who are old and those who are young and young inside to laugh, reflect, and maybe feel a little less alone in this chaos of modern life that we know right now. And and there's a lot of you out there navigating second chances or just wondering if it's too late to find that person, your soulmate. And spoil alert, it's never too late. There's cringy! So whether you're single, married, dating again, or just here for the banter, welcome. We're really glad you're here.
DarSo, in addition to finding love later in life, there's something else that might resonate with many of you. So if you've battled your weight for several years, if you've considered gastric surgery, if you're considering, or if you're on the GLP-1 shots, we can share some of our thoughts and our experiences because we're right there with you. So in future episodes, we hope to share our weight loss journey with you.
ChrisAnd I'd be remiss if I didn't mention one more thing.
DarOkay.
ChrisWe are proud, Gen Xers. I mean, look at the shirts. I mean, Pee-Chee...
DarYeah, Cobra Kai, baby!
ChrisRight. So for all of you who love a Steven Spielberg movie, who play video games, still we do.
DarStill, we do.
ChrisCollect comic books. For all of you that loved your big wheel, lived on your tricycle, your bicycle.
Chris and DarRollerskates. Roller skates, exactly.
ChrisSo for all of you who were out with your friends until those streetlights came on at night, this is where you belong.
DarYeah, and if you had a crush on the original Karate Kid, Ralph Macchio, like I did from age 14 on, um, or if you walked to the drugstore to get a soda and penny candies with your friends, uh, if you know the Xanadu soundtrack in and out, if you uh played Charlie's Angels with your friends, you found your people.
ChrisNew episodes are gonna drop every Monday, so you can start your week off on a happy note. Hit the like and subscribe button on this channel, and you won't miss a thing.
DarSo we know that life is busy and time is the most valuable resource that we all share. So we really thank you for being here with us.
